Institutional Charter

Inventing Foundations for the Next Era of Computing

Georbit was established as the dedicated research wing of tech company Orbit to conduct pure, uncompromised computer science research. While Orbit builds high-performance production platforms, Georbit investigates what lies five to ten years ahead: mathematical consensus proofs, sparse neural runtimes, and deterministic memory-safe execution environments.

Our work is driven by the conviction that foundational software infrastructure must be open, formally verified, and accessible to engineers and researchers everywhere.

Engineering Principles

Core Scientific Precepts

[CS-01]

Algorithmic & Formal Reproducibility

Every published benchmark and system architecture must be accompanied by version-controlled source code and automated machine-checked proof scripts. We do not accept unverifiable claims.

[CS-02]

Permissive Open Source Covenant

All foundational research codebases, runtime compilers, and cryptographic primitives are distributed under permissive open licenses (Apache 2.0 / MIT) for the global engineering community.

[CS-03]

Hardware-Symbiotic Performance

We prioritize mechanical sympathy — designing software algorithms that align precisely with modern multi-core, SIMD vectorization, and distributed GPU memory architectures.

[CS-04]

Non-Profit Academic Independence

Operating as an independent research institution under Orbit, Georbit maintains complete scientific autonomy, prioritizing fundamental long-term breakthroughs over short-term commercial cycles.
